Supply your own artwork?

We accept files via email and disk. Using email, collect your files into a folder and using Stuffit or zip compression software compress before you send. We can only accept files 10mb or under. You should send your files by CD rom for larger files. Email: studio@the-print-store.com

Software

We accept most files. Software packages for Mac are Quarkxpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Freehand and Indesign. We also cater for Pagemaker, Word, Excel and Powerpoint and inclusive of PC programs such as Corel Draw, Serif PagePlus and Publisher and recommend saving these to either jpeg, eps, tiff or print to disk.

Picture Quality

Pictures and photos to be saved at 300dpi and in CMYK mode - DO NOT USE ANY COMPRESSION.

Fonts

Embed fonts where possible. Remember, always supply fonts used with the job.

Bleed

Images, background colours and fills which are intended to extend to the edge of the page should be extended 3mm beyond the page to give a bleed. Text, boxes and other areas you need on your finished job should ideally be 5mm in from the sides of the pages.

Proofs

On receipt of your order, payment and files - the production department will check your artwork. You will receive an order confirmation and a pdf proof via email before we go to print. Please respond promptly to progress your order.
